MCIA is a not-for-profit, cultural and non-religious organization established in 1979. MCIA mission is to promote Asian Indian culture among its members, and help Asian Indians become an integral part of the local Bloomington -Normal community.




MCIA’s primary goals are:


·         To promote Asian Indian culture and values among its members.


·         To promote participation in community volunteering and charitable activities.


·         To promote leadership, volunteerism, sports, and educational activities for its youth members.


·         To promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding about India and Indian culture in the broader community.


·         To promote collaborations with various organizations to benefit the Bloomington-Normal community.


MCIA-2017 team is planning to celebrate/organize the following events/activities in 2017:


1.       28th January : Indian Republic Day


2.       May: youth and Women Sports


3.       24th June: 5K Run for a Social cause


4.       19th August: Indian Independence Day


5.       16th September : Festival of India


6.       18th November : Annual Banquet


7.       Planning to conduct few seminars on College Education, SSN and Medicare benefits.


8.       Setup health camps for visiting parents, senior citizens and women for awareness.


9.       Planning activities to help and guide Indian students at High School, ISU and WSU




Ø  Annual Family Membership starting from 1st Jan – 31st Dec) includes visiting Parents as well.


Ø  Helps to build diversity and inclusiveness within local community for better living.


Ø  A platform for better Networking and collaboration opportunity for members to touch-base with largest Indian community across Bloomington-Normal area.


Ø  Opportunity to celebrate major Indian events with the community.


Ø  Preference will be given to Members & Member’s Kids for all Cultural Programs & Events.


Ø  Member’s kids get exclusive access to youth committee and youth activities.


Ø  Access to special Developmental Initiatives & Community Service Activities and enhance Leadership qualities in Youth Committee members.


Ø  Available of help desk services 24/7 to guide and support the people in need.


Ø  Provides strong American-Indian representation in local community.
